Hi. I'm Sam.

Depending on when and where we met, you might know me as 은수 (Eun Soo, my legal Korean name), Zam, or ZamKim—the namesake of this website. Maybe even whatever name happened to introduce me first. None of them feels more “real” than the others.

I was born in Korea, grew up in El Salvador, spent those years in a British school, and somehow ended up somewhere between three languages.

I don't think in any one language anymore. I think somewhere between them. But of all the languages I've learned, music and poetry have always felt like home.

I write songs because some emotions refuse to fit inside conversation. I write poems because they let language wander where songs can't. I produce because I enjoy finding the space between silence and noise.

None of it is about chasing perfection. It's about finding the one arrangement where everything suddenly makes sense.

Sometimes it's a guitar. Sometimes a business problem. Sometimes a sentence that almost says what I mean.

I enjoy understanding systems—the invisible rules beneath things—and asking whether those rules are actually necessary.

That curiosity spills into almost everything I do. My day job has me working in international business. I've spent more hours than I'd like reading regulations and compliance documents, built an esports team from an idea into an identity, and lost entire evenings researching subjects I had no practical reason to learn.

I'm rarely interested in becoming the world's leading expert on a topic. I'm much more interested in learning enough to connect it with something completely different.

I admire people who build things that outlive trends. Songs that age well. Companies with character. Communities that feel like homes instead of audiences.
